About
Hi, I am Gary, and I live and work in a beautiful part of the southwest of the UK on the edge of Exmoor.
To start a little about myself, I think you could say I was born drawing, sewing and creating; I just cannot remember not being creative. From the moment I could hold a pair of scissors you would find me cutting into scraps of cloth and paper to make something. My passion and experience have grown with me, exploring all things ART, from mixed media, textiles to couture fashion.
Some of my work

My career has taken me on a fantastic journey from an early start as a freelance fashion designer, then to some extensive time spent in the world of academia becoming Head of Fashion, Textiles, and Surface Design for the University Centre Somerset.

I now continue my creative journey, breaking out into the public domain with my infectious enthusiasm, delivering workshops and teaching which are fun and achievable for all. I also continue to develop, grow, and explore my own practice by exploring my environment for inspiration and expression in all its artistic forms.
The Exmoor Inspired Studio
Each workshop is limited numbers of between 3-6 people depending on the activity. There are also opportunities to book out the studio for a small private group for stitch, natter, and lunch (group minimum 4).

My mantra is: I strive to be someone who inspires, guides, and makes you believe in your own creative power. Keep creating!
